FORGE and Go-Lab organise joint workshop at ICL 2015

The FORGE and Go-Lab projects are jointly organising the hands-on workshop “Building Remote Labs for Online Scientific Experimentation” in the 18th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning (ICL 2015). ICL 2015 will take place on 20-24 September in Florence, Italy.

In this workshop, we will present the methodologies and tools we have developed in the FORGE and Go-Lab projects for building remote labs. In particular, the scope of this workshop will be the following:

  1. New online teaching and learning methods will be presented for supporting scientific experimentation via the production and use of interactive learning resources, such as eBooks.
  2. Participants will have the opportunity to try a variety of interactive learning resources produced by the FORGE and Go-Lab projects, as well as different tools for producing such resources.

This will be the first event of the recently established Special Interest Group (SIG): Remote Labs and Online Experimentation. The SIG has been established within the European Association of Technology Enhanced Learning (EATEL) in order to drive and promote remote labs and online experimentation and to offer the technologies that can help stakeholders build experimental infrastructures and use them across different domains.
